 Bottom Front End Filtration            槽前端过滤

Filtering paint drawn from the floor of the tank at the bottom of the entrance decline has been proven essential to the removal of dirt from the paint. This concept is known as bottom front-end filtration. It is most effective for tanks having one-directional paint flow on the bottom of the tank. Bottom front-end filtration (for new construction) has two basic designs (see Figure 5) 电泳槽过滤 实践证明,要从电泳槽中除去杂质需从槽底的进口倾斜面处抽出过滤漆液。这个概念称为槽底前端过滤,它对具有单一流向的槽最有效。槽前端过滤(作为新结构)有两种基本设计(见图5):

The simplest of these is a floor box. A shallow trough 12 x 12 inches (30 x 30 cm.) is constructed the width of the tank at the bottom of the entrance decline (below floor level) to act as a collection site for dirt and allow for complete drainage. Three suction headers (pump controlled) are installed in parallel to effect uniform suction along the width of the trough. 第一种是称为“底盒”的最简单设计,将进口端倾斜面底部(低于槽底)沿槽宽方向设计成12x12英吋(30 x 30 cm.)浅槽,起收集染质作用。在同一方向沿槽宽安装三个用泵控制的三个吸口,均匀析出槽液。 The second design, the plated funnel, consists of an extension box attached to the tank floor below the entrance decline which has funnel-shaped side walls ending in a single suction header. The top of the box is an adjustable plate which extends the width of the tank to regulate paint flow into the funnel. The plate is angled so that it forms the lower portion of the entrance decline. Adjustment of the plate is usually made only when the tank is first filled. This design is used mainly for vertical pump systems equipped with pump wells. Non-conductive screens (FRP, fiberglass, or coated stainless steel) of adequate strength should be installed to prevent large debris from entering and blocking the piping system. The screen's open surface area should be as large as possible to facilitate circulation and to prevent plugging from debris. Two-inch grating works well.
